How Republicans Echo Antisemitic Tropes Despite Declaring Support for Israel

Prominent Republicans have seized on campus protests to assail what they say is antisemitism on the left. But for years they have mainstreamed anti-Jewish rhetoric.

Again, I’ll say that everyone should remember this when certain people that post all the time here try to tell you that both sides are the same. The people that do nothing but plaster this community with hit pieces directed towards the one side that has a chance to stop this clown from destroying our democracy.

VOTE LIKE LIVES DEPEND ON IT. Because many actually do.

Both sides do shit that’s fucked, but anyone pretending that the orange turnip will be better for Palestine or Ukraine are fucking idiots.

It’s my belief that the Venn diagram of Biden-haters begging everyone to not vote, and trump supporters… is a perfect circle.

Because it is. All the accounts on here I have tagged have said don’t vote at all or vote Cornel West/Jill Stein.

It’s so obvious after they pushed Jill Stein in 2016 for the same reason.

I don’t have them tagged personally but you can always tell. It’s at the point where I read a couple words into the comment and I can tell which dumbass it is that wrote the L take.

I can’t stand the Democratic party. They’ll be getting 100% of my votes for the foreseeable future. Yay freedom! lol

Those people are, in my belief, reactionary by nature, and malicious at high percentages. They don’t actually give a fuck. They like to yell and cause issues and either do whatever they want or follow the most popular opinion within whatever group they chose. Many of them are accidental allies and many will abandon a group the moment they get bored or something more interesting appears.

Ask them to have an original thought and watch as they either never reply, get angry and insult you, or panic.

    What Trump said:

If any Jewish person voted for Joe Biden, they should be ashamed of themselves

I don’t actually think he’s a Zionist. He’s a me-ist. Whatever he thinks will get the cheering section louder. He doesn’t consider anyone to be real. Just toys in a game.

I see what you’re saying, but it has more to do with real estate and money than it does Zionism.

Didn’t seem like he attacked Jews really, but he made it very clear he thinks of them as an “other” who are unified in their thought process and aligned with Israel.

Like with white people he’s trying to win as many white votes as possible so he goes to a white working class coal mine in West Virginia and a (non-union but middle class) car part manufacturer in Michigan and a rural state fair.

American Jews are just the US-based Israel contingent, to him. Israel has turned extremely right wing and the leader Bibi likes Trump, why aren’t US jews voting 100% in line with “their leader?”
