I wonder when they will go all Boeing and GE. The day when all they will have left is the ability to buy their own stock and lobby from the government for free money. Imagine the platonic peak form of health insurance. Processing no claims whatsoever.

It’s fucking crazy how many people either prefer miracle whip or think it tastes the same as mayo. Like what kind of mayonnaise are you eating?

Might be a genetic thing. Like some people think avocados taste like dish soap. I think miracle whip tastes rotten.

It has such a nasty sweet taste that I can’t stand.

Though I haven’t tried it since I was a teenager. I don’t intend in trying it again.

unless you live in japan/china i cannot fathom regularly buying that, not only is it shipped halfway across the world, you have no clue what the ingredients and manufacturing is like, and to top it off it comes wrapped in a fucking plastic bag as if the shipping wasn’t terrible enough for the environment…

Especially when it’s mayo, something you can make with eggs, oil, some spices, and an immersion blender!

Isn’t it amazing how often the Miracle Whip people end up in the hospital emergency room whenever they have a serious medical problem.

Not being able to breath has a way of reorganizing your beliefs in a big damn hurry.

American Healthcare > Canadian Healthcare - 3 to 7 months for an MRI in Canada

Having lived in both, Canadian healthcare >>> American healthcare. Walking out of a hospital after they saved your life with a bill of $0 is very nice in my experience.

Canadian Healthcare is better if you’re immediately dying, US Healthcare is better if you’re slowly dying…and have money. Those who do not have money need not apply.

The Canadian system is triaged according to priority, as opposed to who can or can’t afford it. I’ve had several MRIs, including one during the height of COVID, and have never waited more than a few weeks. One was scheduled a couple of months out and then moved up after a radiologist reviewed my x-rays. Granted one of them was at 3am but would rather have answers and an inconvenient appointment time

The proceeding was a paid message brought to you by Atena.

Atena, the last time we paid out was 1998 and we fired the person who did that so it won’t happen again.

I never understand this, the last time I needed an MRI I got it done within the same day. Canadian healthcare can have its downsides but when you need something you get it quick.

Funny picture, not accurate, but pretty funny. The US is the only developed nation with a life expectancy going down. Hovering around a low established in 1996. Canada on the other hand continues to increase with a tiny rate of growth dip during the worse of Covid. Worse pandemic in its history and all she gets it from it was people were living longer each year at a slower rate.

American Healthcare - if you need it, you can get it done. The amount of people who come to America to get simple procedures done vs joining the Canadian wait list is more than you think, and all of this information is based on a conversation with - A Canadian.

And as a Canadian I have never met anyone who went to the US for healthcare and as a middle class person I grew up with people poorer and richer than myself.

Canadian healthcare - I got surgery within the space of a month for something totally non-life-threatening and didn’t pay a cent other than my taxes, which cost less than American health insurance monthly. The amount of people I know who went to the US to get simple procedures done is exactly zero, and all this information is directly from - a Canadian.
