I mean, to be fair, you were kind of talking shit about their boss. It’s a hard living, being a Tankie. You’ve got to wake up every day, look yourself in the mirror, and decide to continue whoring yourself out to authoritarian regimes by posting a picture of a pig pooping on its own balls on the internet and telling left wingers that they’re fascist because they aren’t supporting Russia’s imperialist war.

Don’t forget that not supporting Russia makes you racist against Asians. At least that is what I was told.

to be honest, painting acupuncture as a way of CCP to take over the world is a reach. However, that doesn’t warrant removal and even less a ban, and that’s the tankie thing here

TCM is state funded and actively promoted. It is supposed to show how progressive and good the old (traditional) chinese medicine was. They are setting up Universities in many countries and are sueing you if you use the letters TCM and arent “correctly” exercising the ancient stuff.

Could easily warrant a removal if it’s some off topic garbage in say a politics thread.

      Quality control and all that.

Yeah I don’t buy into that conspiracy but it doesn’t seem banworthy either.

Personally I’ve recently unsubbed and blocked all .ml communities

Lemmy.ml taught me that there’s no difference between a Tankie, and Evangelical, or a Sovereign Citizen. All have discovered the magical words that keep them from being responsible for their own behavior.

There are some differences, but also the similarity you mentioned.

One thing worthy to note though imo, tankies are evangelical. They are literally evangelists, literally evangelising their politics. Evangelism isn’t limited to christianity. Definition #2 of evangelism is “militant or crusading zeal,” they clearly fit that since they want to line up “only landlords I swearsies” up against a wall and won’t shut the ever loving fuck up about it.

To be fair I’m a linux evangelist, so I can’t talk too much shit, but at least linux is not “shooting people in the head” so I think I’m a little better.

I take your point but was really referencing a specific but loose group of Christians in the US.

If you trace the unbroken chain of bored trolls back from .ml you see the path goes through a TON of social media groups that have died out. You can go all the way back to CTH on Reddit and even earlier to some groups from Digg.

Makes it hella easy to clean your feed when the shit congregates and isolates like that.

Ohh. I remember reading thet before the removal and ban. Idk of any other reason to be butthurt over that comment then if they are a tankie. Especially with all the other stuff that was called out. That was the, “what do you think is modern day snake oil” right?

Anything critical of CCP is met with a ban because rule 1.

Edit: even though the user has a stupid take.

If you say anything critical of CCP, anything at all, they’ll delete the comment and purge the mod log. Same response if you say anything positive about the USA.

It’s mindfulness and will have healing effects from that alone. Just sitting in a quiet dark room by yourself without moving for 45 minutes is therapeutic.

I’m making a play on the “can confirm” reply format by mixing it with the dichotomy question “confirm/deny”

I’m saying that what you described isn’t therapeutic, and I know that because I do exactly that when I have migraines.

I’m saying that it’s not medically therapeutic but can be psychologically therapeutic.

Don’t agree with the take, but shouldn’t have been removed either way.

I am almost 18 years old, I’ve been dealing with chronic pain before I even started my teen years. Started out with just Chiari 1 Malformation, now it’s spine/spinal cord deterioration, arthritis, nerve damage, and apparently having a dislocated shoulder previously??? All of this on top of my main brain condition.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been to an acupuncturist because my family is often busy, but I seriously do feel that although temporary, helped a large portion of my back pain and headaches. It has done what some seriously powerful prescriptions could not. I go to someone local in my area, in Texas, and I just can’t see how this is somehow linked to the CCP?

I get acupressure (cupping) done more often, cause we have a set at home, and that too has helped a good chunk of my pain. I don’t give a shit at this point if it’s placebo or not, I felt relief, and that’s all I give a shit about on the matter.
