I have only one thing to say to whatever killed Donald Sutherland:

Also loved his work in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I assume that’s from Invasion of the Body Snatchers? I’ve only seen the pose spoofed in other media, most memorable being Space Quest IV (think it’s that one, been a few decades since playing the series now). Mean to watch it someday, maybe a good time in remeberance.

That is correct. And it’s an excellent film, as is the original from 1956.

Unfortunately, he balanced that out by being in the terrible 1990s version of The Puppet Masters, but they can’t all be good.

I honestly can’t say I like the movie. It’s from that era of the 70s where they decided movies don’t need a plot.

But he is really good in it.

Gould too. They were both hilarious and charismatic.

Absolutely. They were a terrific team-up and I doubt I would have enjoyed the movie at all if they hadn’t been in it. Right up there in that era with Butch and Sundance in terms of a charismatic cinematic duo.

Also it was a Vietnam film that got past the censors by being explicitly about The Korean War.

I don’t know why but of all his movies (I’m 30s) I think of the Italian Job. Great actor though in everything he’s done.
