A 5.56 round through a thin piece of skin makes a hole the size of a hole punch. (5.56mm vs. 7.9mm, I’m including wiggle room for tearing.) That’s gotta sting and bleed like a motherfucker.

After a week+? That wound is going to be nicely scabbed over and sealed, no need for a bandaid.

I worked in a preschool, and it seems to be a rule that when a toddler gets a bandaid for their owie, they’re going to keep wearing it as long as they possibly can. It makes them feel special. And when the other toddlers see that someone got a bandaid, they inevitably all want bandaids too. Of course, adults are more mature and would never behave in this way.

My toddler wanted to wear bandaids from small injuries for as long as possible, but only because a. they were afraid of the mild pain of removal and b. they hate any visible injury or blood, however minor. Not saying vanity didn’t apply, but it wasn’t brought up.

The way it was so perfectly square looked like someone folded up a piece of notebook paper and just stuck it on there as he was walking out as a prank lol

Then, post election, drop the bandage and go “I AM HEALED!”
