“When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different.” - Donald Trump

Yep. Sure sounds like an insult a first grader would come up with.

He’s a few names away from calling her the N word or C word.

Or the P word. Or is that racial slur not such a thing in the states as it is in the UK for someone of south Asian descent?

i legit don’t know what p word you mean. I think you’re right about that not being used in the US

What, like a shortened version of “Pakistani?” I guess maybe that could be a thing in the States, but I’ve literally never heard it.

I could see how it could piss off an Indian-American, though (just as I could see how being called “Indian” could piss off a Pakistani-American).

In the UK it’s culturally seen as almost as bad as the n word.

Afaik it’s definitely a slur here in the US, but most people have never met a Pakistani person and thus don’t know to be racist against them.

They may have met Pakistani people but aren’t going to pay enough attention to know that. They’ll just go with some generic Muslim slur (it does not matter if they aren’t Muslim).

Its a bit of a linguistic curiosity, because while it’s highly offensive in the UK, here in Boston, it’s a local/colloquial name for “liquor store” (literally, “packie” = “package store” as in “package of booze”). The more noticeable the townie accent, the more likely you’ll hear that term.

“People vote with their STOMACH, and food is now at an all time high because of Kamabla/Biden INCOMPETENCE,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday. “With them in charge, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!”

What appeared to be a typo was confirmed as an intentional misspelling of Harris’ first name in a follow-up post an hour later.

“Kamabla has stated, over and over again, that she wants to DEFUND THE POLICE AND, WITHOUT QUESTION, BAN FRACKING,” Trump wrote. “‘NO MORE FOSSIL FUEL.’ This will quadruple the cost of energy in America! DEPRESSION ANYONE!”

Sad. Like watching a banana overripen to the point where you can’t even make banana bread with it.

For someone whose forte is supposed to be nicknames Kamabla is remarkably weak and sad. Don’t know if it’s because Kamala is hard to find an angle on or if Trump is getting too old and slow, but one thing is for certain: Meatball Ron this ain’t.

It’s quite possibly one of the weakest nicknames in the history of the US… certainly in my lifetime… Not that I’m old… Not like Sleepy Joe Biden… There’s a good one… Nickname that is. Not a good President… horrible president. Kamala… she’s a bit younger than me…60s vs 70s (she says shes 59 but I’ve yet to see her birth certificate and im sorry… I’ve seen a lot of beautiful 59 year old women and Kamala looks so much older … I’m sorry that’s the truth). But yah whoever came up with this nickname should be fired. Oh that was me? And you think right now is the best time to point that out? Hey… Everyone…look at this RINO over here!

The first thing I think of when I see “Kamabla” is Three Dog Night’s song “Shambala.” Which is a lovely song about people being helpful and kind. So I’m just gonna stop thinking about it right there.

If I thought he or his supporters had enough world knowledge to associate the concept of Shambala from Hinduism to Indians to Kamala then maybe I’d go with him trying to say being Indian is worse than being black which he argues she isn’t

Instead I think it’s more likely he just is incapable of saying her name without stumbling all over himself, so he’s decided if he can’t say her name it’s because she’s foreign and that’s bad

Maybe he could keep saying it and gradually drawl her name until it sounds like “Gambler” and then make some enigmatic comments about knowing when to fold them and walk away. … yeah I’ve got nothing, not seeing the method to his madness this time.

How does no one else get this!?

It’s a slur implying she’s indian! It sounds like a hard to pronounce indian name.

Maybe it’s just where I grew up, but this absolutely sounds like a name one of my middle school peers would have made up to insult an indian kid.
