Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump /JD Vance campaign rally in Montana. In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. …And really, THAT song?

I get the Titanic connection with his campaign. Hey Vance, you better realize now there will not be enough room on that door for Trump and you.

Right? If they’re fine suing a grandma whose grandkids got a song from Napster (and lost them $0 of actual sales), then suing a campaign using it publicly should be a no-brainer, slam dunk.

I don’t know if it’s the case with her specifically, but most popular musicians don’t actually own their own music, so they don’t have any legal recourse.

That’s why the Mango Mussolini isn’t being sued by musicians left and right: almost all popular music in the world is owned by two or three conglomerates whose CEOs play golf with Trump or someone in his inner circle.

They never make a lawsuit their opening move, first it’s a cease and desist, but don’t count on Sony Music Canada to do nothing.

Probably not worth their time considering the long line of people wait for the Trumps to pay their debts.

Oh shit! She SLAMMED him! I’m sure he’ll never do anything like that ever again until the next time he does any kind of public event.

      From the article:

″…And really, THAT song?” Dion’s management team quipped, spurring mocking social media posts about the Trump campaign using music from a movie about a sinking ship.

        Dion’s management team quipped

So it wasn’t even Celine herself. It was just some schlub in her back office?

“Sued” would at least be more entertaining. “Slams” just sounds like you’re upset and there’s nothing else you can do about it.

Lady Gaga should perhaps preemptively pull Pocket Face off Trump dirty mind hands.
