“Harris reminds some men of their first wife. Donald Trump reminds women of their first husband’s divorce lawyer, and he needs to back off,”

Those are awfully specific. Sounds like nothing more than a couple anecdotes.

If Harris is anything like my first wife, I’ll vote for her every time. After all, I’ve been happily married to her for 13 years tomorrow 🥰

If you’ve been happily married to her all this time, why are you referring to her as your first wife? And not just your wife?

Trump is most popular with divorced men. So… probably heard it at least more than once in their focus groups.

I suspect he’s even more popular among sex offenders, but they don’t get polled specifically.

He lies a lot, changes positions whenever convenient, and he’s pretty much always involved in one legal battle or another. He’s basically the lawyer from every lawyer joke minus the law degree.

Minus any resemblance of intelligence or logical planning beyond immediate self-gratification.

He does focus groups. It’s all about getting more detail, specifics, and answers to open ended questions to (in theory) get deeper insights from a smaller group of people instead of more generic metrics from a larger group. Qualitative data rather than quantitative data.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he got those comparisons from participants. But (without actually watching the interview) I would have to assume that he’s using those statements to represent mildly negative sentiments about Harris from Republican men, and contrasting it with much more severe negativity among Republican women when it comes to Trump.

Luntz said there was no good news for the former president in his newest round of focus groups, with many of the participants admitting they were excited to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and that they were appalled by Vance.

“They are tired of Trump’s abuse and of Trump’s personality,”

He hasn’t learned anything new because you can’t teach and OLD dog new tricks. People are tired of his bullshit and that’s what it is, bullshit. Even his dedicated cult has to realize he just spews lies. He never does what he says he’s going to do and now his rants are off the rails and that’s because…He’s old. I wouldn’t bet on that if I were him. Putin is in a precarious position himself, and if he sees it beneficial to sacrifice trump saying “I caught the American pig!” As an out for his failed war, then trump is going to go in a really bad way. Trump would be best served by going to a fringe dictatorship like NK, SA or venezuela, maybe even Iran. But Russia is not a safe place for him or anybody.

Iran wants revenge on Trump for assassinating their favorite general, right-hand man of their Supreme Leader. If he goes to Iran he’ll for sure be tortured and then executed.

Also I wouldn’t suggest that Russia is safe for anybody. If anything I expect Trump to go there because they have the most kompromat on him, and they’ll extort him into coming so they can use him as leverage. At that point you may be right that Putin would hand him over to serve Putin’s own interest. But if Trump makes any other choice he’ll probably end up drinking some polonium coke.

You’re right, I forgot that about Iran. Point is, he doesn’t have a lot of options. But Russia isn’t a great one for him, especially when putins war isn’t doing well.
