“On October 13, the Biden administration told Prime Minister Netanyahu that his government had 30 days to increase humanitarian aid into Gaza or face the consequences under US law, which would include cutting off military assistance,” the Massachusetts senator said in a statement shared with the Guardian.

For the first time on the issue, Warren threw her weight behind a joint resolution of disapproval, a legislative tool that enables Congress to overturn actions taken by the executive branch. Such a resolution must pass both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

She added: “The failure by the Biden administration to follow US law and to suspend arms shipments is a grave mistake that undermines American credibility worldwide. If this administration will not act, Congress must step up to enforce US law and hold the Netanyahu government accountable through a joint resolution of disapproval.”

This is actually a criticism that was often levied at Trump and it’s apt. Putting down a nebulous red line and then ignoring it even when the other party can’t do the bare minimum of pretending to follow it results in everyone acknowledging your country is a joke. That said, we already knew this whole thing was a joke.

Couldn’t have done this like six months ago? Maybe it would have prompted Harris to actually say she’d be different.

Six months ago any criticism of the Biden administration would just be accused of helping support Trump.

Can’t criticize the Dems before the election, can’t criticize them after the election.

Definitely criticized them during the election but always made sure to say who I am voting for. As the only thing I really didn’t like was genocide (obv) and parading the Chaneys like that was going to help. But I remember arguing with a certain monk who seems to have disappeared about third parties being bad in our system.

Ah, much appreciated; that doesn’t show up on my app. Man, I wish the experience weren’t so inconsistent between desktop and mobile. (Also good riddance.)

Can’t criticize them after the election

Huh? That’s all anyone has been doing the past week. What are you on? You’re acting like this is some sort of catch-22, but it so obviously isn’t: hold the line before the election to minimize the chances of a fascist getting into office (like in 2020 with Biden), then immediately thereafter regardless of the results completely shit all over them for how they aren’t where they should be.

Edit: I still haven’t heard how the complete avalanche of massive, basically unabated criticisms of the DNC over the last nine-ish days is being suppressed.

Butcher Biden earned the nickname. This is him in 1982 making the war criminal Menachim Begin seem decent:

Begin said he was shocked at how passionately Biden supported Israel’s invasion when Biden “said he would go even further than Israel, adding that he’d forcefully fend off anyone who sought to invade his country, even if that meant killing women or children.” Begin said, “I disassociated myself from these remarks,” adding: “I said to him: No, sir; attention must be paid. According to our values, it is forbidden to hurt women and children, even in war.

In 1986, then-U.S. Sen. Joe Biden said, “[Supporting Israel] is the best $3 billion investment we make. Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.”
