Everything under Trump seems to trace back to Putin. I think they are doing this to give false legitimacy to Putin’s invasion into Ukraine. They will say “See? America is doing it so we can too”.

It’s a flea circus. If you are watching/listening to something insane happening then you aren’t watching then steal an election in North Carolina or fast track a bunch of crazy deportation laws or Russian jets flying back and forth between NY, DC and wherever the fuck else.

The desire for Greenland is rational, but evil.
Climate change is going to open up a lot of trade routes year round as a lot of the ice melts.
Greenland is very strategically placed for controlling those trade routes. It’s basically the same reason Trump wants the Panama canel.
Edit: Trump is bad. It is stupid that I have to say this, but if you want to fight someone you have to understand why they do things and you can’t just assume stupidity as that reason.

The Trumps made no overtures to the government to meet with them (according to Greenland). So WTF is he doing there? Guess it’s sorta like a campaign stop to drum up support?
Donny Jr. Is only there to do a documentary. He will not be meeting with any government officials and I’m sure the “documentary” was done there to make it look like he was trying to do government business.

There’s a broader Old School Imperialist attitude that Trump is cultivating with these kinds of wish-fulfilment posts. I don’t think it isn’t worth mentioning, but I do think his cabinet positions and plans for military promotions are more concerning than sending his Fredo coded son on extended overseas vacation.
Trump’s lackeys want it for minerals, methane(aka natural gas) and oil. Also potentially water.

to take any of these threats seriously for a minute. absolutely none of the places the Tr team says America wants to take, would be for any purpose other than resource stripping. They dont want to govern any of these places, “taking” these places would mean military occupation, which I will remind you, the Americans have no stomach for. I’ll come back to that in a minute.
But Panama, Greenland, Mexico, and Canada, none of these places under American control would be anything other than resource extraction zones. the populations would be herded into police state control zones run by Quisling governments, no one would have american rights, no voting. no guns. none of the benefits that MAGA and their traitor politicans promised them. It’d essentially be the Nestle situation. Corporations pilfering the country at literal gunpoint.
the national security excuse is null for Canada and Greenland (Denmark), both are already under NATO and both are already more or less allowing america to do as it pleases in the arctic against their own Sovereignty
and on the topic of Canada, and that Occupation I said I’d come back to. Americans have no stomach for occupation, they were in Afghanistan for 20 years and that turned the population hostile against the establishment. that was on the other side of the world, against an opponent who was culturally black and white different from them.
If you want an idea of how an American occupation of Canada would go, look no further than 2022’s Russian invasion of Ukraine. Every day since that conflict began, Places in Russia have been catching fire and exploding, people are getting assassinated, the country is under attack from all sides from within, Why? because their enemy, the Ukrainians can blend in with the russian population effortlessly.
Trying to violentley and forcefully take away a country’s sovereignty, who is on your border, who are visually, linguistically, and culturally so similar to you that you couldn’t tell one from the other, is frankly a suicidal move. it didnt work for the big bad boisterous Russians, it wont work for America. It’ll just be “terrorism” every day of the week until the blue states have had enough of it, and decide that the “rebels” are right, and now it’s Civil war 2.0
