This has been making the rounds on line, but it turns out that this business merely grows cannabis at a former prison that’s been repurposed; it’s not being grown by the inmates.

Are people really thinking the government would spend money to grow weed to get people out of prison?

Seems obvious that it’s not actually inmates.

Government? No. But I could definitely see private prison corporations making money selling prison slave labor weed.

Private prisons still operate under government oversite and with government founding….

And maybe having private prisons is its own issue entirely…?

That logic still makes no sense and is flawed at its basic starting point. A prison isn’t gonna raise money to get its inmates removed lmfao, they wouldn’t need money, they would just you know… let them out… fuck people are stupid and can’t think for more than 2 seconds.

So they’re gonna raise money to release their money makers? Thats the hitch in the thought process here.

no, i thought a pot company was leasing prisoners for a grow op and giving a portion of profits back

You seriously thought a prison would lease its inmates to a company trying to release said inmates…?

That still doesn’t fit with the “in a prison” either.

Critical thinking is seriously lacking in this world.

I don’t think people think the government is spending money to grow weed to get people out of prison, I think people thought people were paying inmates on work release or whatever to grow weed to get people out of prison.

… so they are using their money makers to get their money makers out of prison…?

Still makes no sense that way, it’s obvious inmates have nothing to do with it.

And what part of “at a prison” means work release anyways?

And none of those people stopped to think for more than 2 seconds. That’s not even a valid line of reasoning.

A prison isn’t going to lease their inmates to a company that wants to get inmates released.

And none of that implies anything about it being “in a prison”

Critical thinking is a seriously lacking trait in today’s age….

Empathy is also seriously lacking. Like belittling people so much over something so minor. Relax. It’s not that big of a deal.
