When I said that Microsoft has a lot to learn from Linux, Ubuntu Server is not what I had in mind 😂
No dev would take a picture of the screen instead of making a screenshot
But what if something pulls a Netflix and blacks out the window when you try to screenshot. The sanctity of the screenshot is ruined, take more pictures.

I prefer copying the text on the terminal and pasting it, due to most platforms using jpeg compression on png uploads, making written text worse.

I always heard “if it’s XcQ, the link stays blue”
“I see you XcQ” or “XcQ I see you”. It’s not the best mnemonic but it has served me well

We work as software engineers and my colleague works on a particular application for one of our clients and I shit you not the following happens regularly.
- Colleague emails client with a change log for the latest publish.
- Client prints off the email and annotates it with a pen.
- Takes a photo of the printed out email.
- Attaches it to his reply.
They have this work flow and they still don’t have a scanner‽
It’s much faster to take a photo and immediately send it by email, or transfer it via bluetooth/airdrop to your computer.
This is probably preferable to when something is written with a “pen” tool and a mouse, so you have mspaint style handwriting.
You can also press “Print Screen”
In KDE I hotkeyed Super+PrtSc to run
flameshot gui, so I can instantly get very good custom screen shots that I can annotate or whatever if I want. Then Alt+Super+PrtSc takes a screenshot of both displays and saves it to a custom folderbut i don’t want to print my screen, i just want a picture of it.
Or Win + PrntScrn to make an auto saved file.
And now it’s time to secure erase your SSD before it sees the light of day
