I know it goes without saying, but can you imagine if Biden or Obama literally went on national television and declared to a United States governor “I am the law!” like he’s a dollar-store Judge Dredd?

The best thing you can do is to push your state and governor do the same if there’s any chance.

This sentence. First, almost “I’m the federal law,” followed by just a completely wonky sentence. What a technically human being
I would fucking love for the Feds to try this with any blue state that is a net contributor (which is like, basically all of them). And then set up a (federally illegal, but we don’t care about that anymore apparently) interstate commerce and trade pact between blue states for mutual aid and economic assistance, since the federal government is currently busy destroying the federal government.
I would have also added, “What federal funding? You’re stealing it all to pay for the handouts to the rich that think you’re a fool.”
