To be fair it spelled Texas how Texans pronounce it.

a map of the solar system where Mars has been labeled “Marc.”

Love this way more than I should. I just imagine the rest of the planets with new names.

Meriel, Vanessa, Ernest, Marc, Justin, Stewart, Umberto, Nathan, and Paul

I’m pretty sure he fired the educational quality control and replaced them with someone who straight up hates schools.

It’s pretty clear that the MAGA admin wants to destroy even the last vestige of any public service, so yeah, that tracks.

      Actually a good idea.

Hey, class. Today i found these awful AI slop generations of the solar system. We’ll be going to the library to research the actual planets and fix the mistakes. We’ll also write short description paragraphs about each planet based on what we learned during our research.
Make sure to write down the title and author of each source used!

The fact that it misspelled Texas but got Wyoming correct is pretty hilarious.

The second is exactly right, though at the same time school books are a massive scam too. They’ll change a picture or reorganize the wording and say the old one is outdated. I don’t know anything about k-12 book sales but I am intimately aware of how the college book system works. So I can’t imagine it’s a whole lot different other than possibly cheaper to avoid scandal.

The certificate still needs to come from the school, but it’s now up to parents to educate their children.

It’s been getting worse over the past several years, and for the most part teachers are not to blame, their hands are tied by admin, and some really awful parents, too.

Read /r/teachers for some insight, especially if you have kids in elementary school.
