So it just struck me while looking at the sardine bed. Because of the difference in size, as square cubed law is a thing, would most surfaces feel softer or harder for a mouse? My pillow feels soft to me, but would be taut for a creature incapable of breaking past the tension. I’m guessing harder, but would that be universal? Am I missing something?

Their weight is so much less that anything without sharp edges would feel comfortable to lie on. We like soft things because they eliminate pressure points, but when the pressure is so much less, everything is as comfortable as a bed.

I assume a limit to nerve ending concentration so it’s possible the fibers of cotton feel similar. Also since mass is lower the point-pressure should be lower meaning sharp objects aren’t as dangerous to traverse.
