They always load for me. What specific instance are you on?
I’m on lemmy.world but I’m pretty sure it also did it when I mainly used lemm.ee too. I’m not sure if it’s always this instance, but I’ve noticed it a lot here
Im on lemmy.world using the Connect app and photos always load for me
maybe it’s something with your app
or some custom script/extension if you are using a browser
