I craved the strength and certainty of Pepto-Bismol.

OK, but why shouldn’t I eat Hershey kisses for breakfast after walking 7 miles the day prior?

If my body can’t handle it it’s just gonna have to deal with the liquid shits, sorry.

I don’t think I’m physically capable of eating a family sized bag of any kind of chips in half an hour. Even if I was hungry enough I think I’d just get tired of chips by the time I was halfway through. Are you even tasting them if you eat them that fast?

As someone who struggles with binge eating there is some number of chips that you kinda miss the flavor of, but truly the main drive for eating them is the dopamine from the flavor. For me what drives me to continue eating that they are so intense I get a pathological need to keep the flavor intense in my mouth. After eating a chip the memory of the flavor doesn’t hold more weight than the potential for more flavor in front of me while I still have chips. BBQ chips usually override the chance of getting tired of the flavor, prolly cause of the crazy amounts of salt, fat, and sugar.

Another way to put it is that I basically get anxious that I will stop tasting the flavor, so I eat constantly and quickly to stave off that reality. I inevitably create that lack of flavor anyways by eating so much so fast.

I wish my brain would let me grow tired of the flavor but it instead triggers a fugue state where I must be constantly consuming because the dopamine feels good.

Half an hour? I see you’re part of that slow eater movement I’ve been hearing about.

I don’t see the problem. clearly this consequence is not related to the action, because family sized bbq chips = good and this clearly shows bad

    Yeah, I feel that.

Something weird happens with my throat and sinuses. It practically gets coated in the flavor and gets kind of hard to breathe. Eating lots of chips also cuts up my mouth.

I’ve literally only eaten like 1 burger per day (yes actually a burger not just a calorie estimate) and has like a smoothie for weeks now.
