    Actual title

Netflix pays Take Two Interactive to ensure that you can not just buy this release on mobile and have to subscribe to Netflix instead.

So, to make a splash in the gaming market Netflix is choosing… one of the worst releases of all time. Interesting strategy there. Unfortunately it will still probably sell like crazy.

    Also

including through one of the most iconic series in history, without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees.

So to be clear - They obviously have been thinking about in-app purchases, ads, and extra fees. Hoo-boy there service just sounds swell.

It’s included in the Netflix subscription so no additional cost for subscribers. Haven’t heard if it’ll be available for non-Netflix subscribers yet.

The Definitive Edition was supposed to come out for iOS and Android in “the first half of 2022”. Hopefully they spent the additional time fixing all 3 games.

Save for all the other price increases

They obviously have been thinking about in-app purchases, ads, and extra fees.

I know gamers have a lot to be cynical about, but seeing an announcement that specifically says “without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees” and taking that as evidence of the opposite is a bit of a stretch!

You’d think they’d be trying to make a good impression for their rollout of games for Netflix.

I was surprised by how many they’ve snatched up already when last I checked, not long ago. Far as I’m concerned, these titles don’t really exist.

Aren’t those games all already available on mobile? Or is definitive edition the new bit here?

Definitive Edition is the new bit here indeed.

The Definitive Editions are basically a remaster of the 3 games - higher res textures and models, updated lighting, general improvements, etc.

Rockstar/the studio they gave the project to botched the job pretty hard. Innumerable bugs and glitches, compilations of which can be found on YouTube.

In the 2 years they’ve worked on the Definitive Edition since release, they’ve tackled some bugs, but many still remain. I wouldn’t recommend paying for it yet if you want to try them, and instead stick with the original versions. The older versions might look dated but at least they aren’t a hot mess.

Can they just release GTA 1/2 back on Steam again?

I would love that too, I know they have the downloads of them on there site but it would be nice to be able to play older GTA Games on Steam / Steam Deck

I think I already know the answer. But did they fix it?
