I don’t have a dog or any bourbon (or any other alcohol and I’m too poor to get anything, even just a couple of beers).

But I hope everyone has a great unofficial holiday! Enjoy your canine company and liquor, everyone deserves it.

We are in the same boat, however, I wanted you to know that your positivity changed my perspective and I left this post feeling happy for everyone who can properly celebrate this holiday, rather than bitter that I cannot.

      Thank you! 💜

As I understand it you can still stay home and celebrate the holiday in whatever manner you see fit.

Don’t feel obligated to go to work just because you lack dogs or bourbon

Holy shit, that’s exactly what I’m doing right now! Scotch, actually, but close enough.

Edit: Just saw that it’s tomorrow. No problem. I’ll do it two days in a row, twist my arm.

I work from home and drank during work hours before. All I need now is a dog.

Well, you’re the poor sod who went into work and still has to do everything?

Hopefully you get a bonus or something

This sounds like something a dog-hater would say:-P.

Okay everybody, at 3pm this afternoon, let’s all celebrate [BS] by not taking our dogs to the park, down at XYZ street on the corner of 5th. If it is too late to change your plans, you can still memorialize this holiday by remaining in the southwest corner of the park and never venturing into the northeast portion. Who is with me huh!? :-P
