I read that Lennon wrote this song after learning that English students were being assigned to study the lyrics of Beatles songs in class.

Lyrics don’t often many sense when you take them out of context a sentence at a time

Feel free to show how Come Together makes sense with all of those lyrics in context.

A bunch of unrelated things can Come Together to achieve something great.

Such as the random lyrics in a 50+ year old song that still gets played, or a group of seemingly random individuals uniting for a good cause.

Considering “shoot me” is repeated over and over again, I’m not sure about something great being the goal there. Especially not with the lyric, “hold you in his armchair, you can feel his disease.”

But you can’t really have a wrong interpretation of that song I guess.
