In the original series we often saw Thing’s arm when it turned the pages on Lurch’s music. It wasn’t depicted as being cut off at the wrist until the movie.

God I loved that show, kinda sad it got cancelled so early.

Maybe their original intention was for thing to just be a hand, but they just didn’t have the technology/budget for it.

Also in the original series which hand Thing was varied from scene to scene; sometimes he’s a left hand, sometimes he’s a right hand.

It looks nothing like a penis. I don’t understand why people in this thread are saying that.

I think the OP in the post is laughing because of how ridiculous it is for LEGO to just include a hand as a character.

The Adam’s family has a character named “The Thing” that’s just a sentient hand.

      LEGO included a LEGO hand

I understand that much, but I don’t get the “I hate my mind” comment. Is it just that it sort of resembles a nob if you squint?

The flesh color, size and orientation bring to mind a suction cup dildo that a person might sit onto.

But for me what elevates it beyond “haha, penis” and makes it funny is the context of Thing being placed next to Wednesday as if an accessory that comes with the Lego kit. Thereby suggesting a dildo is to Wednesday, what wands are to Harry Potter minifigs.

Or a shape shifting alien from a 1980’s horror film.

So I’ve never done a deep dive but thing I would imagine, is the soul of the person surviving inside his hand. So thing is a full human trapped forever in a hand and that’s terrifying

That’s unclear. It could also be the last member of a race of sentient hands saved by Gomez or something.

Thing is the animated hand in the Adam’s family. The Lego “thing” is a detached Lego hand

I sure am glad the text in the picture told me this was funny, I wasn’t sure what to look at in the zoomed in 2nd picture. I hope OP can breathe now.

It’d be like 15 and she’d have like a little park bench or something like that to go with it. Legos are expensive but not thaaat expensive
