I’d like some feedback on this community’s moderation. Do you feel it’s too relaxed? Too strict? Feel free to voice your thoughts in a comment below!

I’ve tried to be very “hands-off” and mostly let the community decide what’s acceptable by voting. I don’t usually remove content unless either I receive several reports or if it’s a clear violation of the rules/code of conduct. I don’t know if this is the best path to take though.

I have no complaints. I think a light touch is the right way to go with moderation. Thanks for all you do!

I have felt no impact. I’ve not noticed a preponderance of spammers, shitposters, or trolls, nor have I noticed trigger happy mods. I’d say you’re right in the Goldilocks zone.

for the most part i dont see any problem with the posts on this community whatsoever. most of them are funny, a fraction of them are reposts but that happens in every community anyway and it isnt really a problem unless its done to death/generic “repost this image” posts

I haven’t really noticed many toxic users in this community that would warrant extra hours in the moderator box

Might change depending on how much bigger the community grows

Keep it up. Anyone that gets uppity needs to be reminded that it’s a meme sub and they should hold their outrage for something important, like the barbarians that put pineapple on a pizza.

I’m happy with the moderation here.

A Lemmy.world admin removed one of my posts from here recently. They said it was nsfw, which I disagreed with.

I’m so tired of seeing Linux all over Lemmy. It’s like why can’t I sign on to Lemmy and it be like Facebook? Why can’t I argue with my second cousin’s first roommate about politics rather than the greatest fuckin OS created? These memes attack me personally!
