      So would you have a similar reaction if you bit in and it turned out to be chocolate chip? It’s the unexpected texture and flavor that’s the problem.

        Are people making non oatmeal, raisin cookies? Cuz like…. They look totally different, unmistakable.

      Agreed, the chocolate chip cookie is the cookie of degenerates like cookie monster. Nameless shifty formed addicts who break into their friends and families homes to steal cookies and vcrs to pawn for more cookies… Shameful, truly is.

    Oatmeal raisin isn’t even bad. It’s just the shock of your expectations not meeting reality that sucks. It’s the betrayal of the trust that you put in your food. Of course, its your fault for not reading packaging or looking more closely than not at all.

    My family makes several medjoul date desserts, which are okay if you’re expecting it, but they’re easy to mistake for some kind of chocolate ganache filling, in which case taking one bite throws off your whole day.
