If Israel cared about hostages being released, they would have handled it by now. They’ve given up on saving the hostages, and just using them as an excuse to massacre civilians.

For Trump that’s just preparing the terrain for real estate development.

Gaza sits on such a valuable beachfront! But those ugly ruins… Someone ought raze them down

Does Hamas have any guarantee that doing so will stop a single thing Israel is doing or will do? The answer is clearly no because - as even rational factions in Israel will concede - the war is about population engineering, land annexation and settlement, not the hostages. It was clear from the very first two weeks when that intelligence report leaked laying out war options which included exactly what we are seeing, when Israeli leadership declared starvation plans and stated that Gaza would be reduced to a “city of tents.” And just last week the IDF let kahanist lunatic settler Daniella Weiss enter the strip to survey land for settlement. The hostages don’t matter on any political level, only on a propaganda, morale and moral level.

To the people who stayed home or voted 3rd party because they claimed to care about the people of Gaza.

How about you fucking wait until we see what he’ll do before being smug about it? He says “hell to pay” but that’s exactly what Biden has been doing, with more platitudes.

Fair enough. It’s just sad that more people have to die but you are correct that Biden isn’t doing a damn thing either.

Oh but haven’t you heard? No wars under Trump. Trump will end it as soon as he takes office, or so I heard from some voters dumb enough to no longer be in my life.

The Biden administration has been working since last year with Israel and international mediators, including Qatar and Egypt, on a cease-fire deal that would include release of the hostages.

I’m sure this is just a coincidence and all that was really needed to end the conflict was an old man yelling “Don’t make me come in there”.

After all, Hamas has such a long history of being scared of the US and trying to avoid poking that particular bear. /s

Well, this is what the people in Dearborn voted for.

They get to watch the carpet bombing of Gaza.

Or he’ll drop a nuke. Because that’s the hardest anyone has been hit in our long and storied history.

This is what the people in Dearborn voted for—along with the people of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, and others.

Across the board, almost every category trended rightward (edit: by way of staying home, you know what I mean) since the last election. Ask yourself: why is your first instinct to attack the tiny minority in Michigan who have been treated as subhuman for months? They’ve been held in constant limbo while their families are killed, ignored as they plea for mercy from a government that continually sinks deeper into racism and hatred.

If I saw my friends and family being treated like irrational animals, I might not be surprised to feel the urge to act irrationally.

You’re not even wrong about your statements, but … have some damn empathy.

          It didn’t trend rightward.

Democrats stayed home just like they did in 2016.

They were convinced through our republican controlled media that voting wasn’t worth the effort.

So now my empathy isn’t worth their’s. I hope all 88 million who stayed home on election day have a completely hellish next 2 years. I’m circling my wagons right here at home and watching those apathetic fuckers learn a major lesson.

It’s probably the only way they will learn to pay attention. Or they will die from some weird ass disease.

          Happy Holidays!
