There is a mod in the politics community who frequently remove anything depending on his mood that day.
I almost started literally thinking of resuming using reddit for the purpose of posting news and politics articles due to that mod removing a lot of stuff.
Can we have a public community vote to remove/ replace this mod?
My reasoning here is that if he is making me hate participating there then probably other people also hate participating there due to his mod actions.

That doesn’t look like mod abuse. You posted something that wasn’t about politicians or voting in Politics. Mod explained this and told you it should probably be posted in News instead.
So, let me be clear here.
The state of media which is owned by billionaires and that defend a CEO who is working at a health insurance company is not politics but news?
To make it clear that this removal is based on the mod mood, not reason:
This is a post I made there, but it did not get removed.
That inconstancy is one of the biggest proofs that this removal is not fair.
You’re assuming them a mod reviews every single post. That simply isn’t true. Most moderation occurs after reports, not from the mod zealously scanning for infractions.
You want bots modding?
Or are you expecting someone to spend 24/7 on here waiting for an off topic post?
Because that’s really the only two options for total coverage.
It ain’t all about you.
Are you volunteering to take a full time shift, and it’s volunteer because nobody is getting paid? Because otherwise, you know, kinda shitty
“Mood”, ffs dude, the mod gave a clear and accurate reason for the removal, and your complaint is that they didn’t remove another off topic post you made. Maybe it got missed while he was constantly scanning, waiting for a chance to laugh maniacally and remove another post. I’m sure he is now weeping at having missed that opportunity.
Tbh here? After two off topic posts, I’d probably ban your ass for a day or until you got in contact to have the community guidelines explained. And after this kind of whiny post made without stopping to think for one second that it’s not okay for a mod to miss a post that’s off topic, but it’s okay for you to do it twice, it would be a permanent ban, because I have zero patience for that kind of idiocy.
Seriously, you’re throwing a minor tantrum over nothing.
FYI, the link doesn’t work.
The post is deleted by the mod, I will try to add photos here.
It’s visible!
I was talking about the post that I linked to.
I was talking about the picture, sorry for the confusion 😄
:)
I don’t even know which mod you’re talking about there’s so many bad ones over there.
This makes you look like an entitled whiner.
I don’t care about looks, I want the community I participate in to be fair.
that means allowing any off-topic post?
I talked in my comment about the relvance of the article:
A month or two ago, there was a user that was posting quite a bit of content and over the span of a few days was banned from all the major news subs (there’s I think two users that are on a lot of them and it’s one of them that is probably the culprit). The user eventually just deleted his account and all his posts.
That being said, I suggest you make a new community and post your content there. Lemmy is small enough that it doesn’t take much to get the ball rolling so to speak.
Your link isn’t working for me btw.
