Ah, so many… gems in this list. Best of luck! I’d help more than an upvote, but I’m somewhat new-ish to Reddit, only joined in 2020.

There’s a few where the classic post is a reply. I’m not sure what the best way to format those would be but it would be great to have them be consistent. So here’s an example, though the joke has been done to death, the orginal should be archived.

phil8248 (17.9k points): I'd like to have sex one more time with my wife who passed away from cancer 9 years ago. My body yearns for hers. The ultimate downside to finding "the one" is she may die young and leave you wanting.

Oh my gosh, I love this! Are you taking suggestions? I am not sure what the post title was so I am not positive you don’t have it on here already, but 10/10 with rice.

Got them, thank you! I’d never seen the music during sex one and it destroyed me. It just got weirder and weirder.

Man, it’d be a shame not to have that saved somewhere. I’m not sure how to archive it, like in what format.

Incredible collection! Makes me want to dig into “saved” bank to see if I have anything similar.

Thank you for being an excellent internet historian / steward of internet history. Any thoughts on saving this content outside of reddit? Either on an image based platform or something else?

      Thank you!

I think an image platform would be best for longevity’s sake. I’ve leaned toward the Lemmy-localized text/quotations format over the images format to try and keep things as screen reader accessible as possible. For all I know the software may have advanced to the point that it can parse text in images, it’s just an old habit and I guess they do die hard.

I’d still like to go back and take screenshots to attach to the relevant text posts, I think, as well as getting some of the sagas under “honorary mentions” archived as images (I’m not seeing another way to do it for a lot of them; they’re mostly comment chains scattered pretty wildly that need a lot of context to make sense of).

Anyway I’m rambling. Thanks again, and hope you got a kick out of reading some of the classics!

Edit: If you find anything in your “saved” bank I’d love to give it a read.
