Here, for a while at McDonald’s there was a 🍔 called “the 1955” and it was the best, big pieces of onion, an special sauce, buns and big piece of beef with bacon (for Europe standards anyways) it disappeared once and came back for an encore only to be removed again and never return.
Milk Shakes at just about any fast food restaurants. The machines always seem to be down! Pulled up to an Arby’s a few months back to order a Jamoca shake and they said their machine was down. I asked them if I had pulled into the McDonald’s drive through by mistake. We all had a big laugh… but that was months ago and they have now put a sticker on the menu that says their shakes are not currently available :(
Went to a Baskin Robins to order a Chocolate Milk shake and they were out of Chocolate ice cream… on multiple occasions. At least they don’t have a machine to break down!
Sorry our scoop is down. Can I interest you in a birthday cake?
Taco Bell quesoritos :(
Came here to say this.
Why did you remind me of our loss?
There was a short lived candybar called PB Max that I’ve been craving for like the last 20 years. It actually tasted like peanut butter which, despite my love for peanut butter cups, just completely outdid them for peanutty goodness.
Oh man, that just reminded me that PB Crisps existed. Fuckin loved those things.
See and if people love them, why didn’t they sell? I loved DnL but nobody really remembers it.
Two things from Wendy’s:
First bring back the old chicken nugget meat. The spicy nuggets taste like trash now.
Second that Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
Wendy’s chicken sandwiches are very good. I had one with a pretzel bun and it was amazing.
The only reason I went to McDonald’s before covid was because breakfast was available all day.
Huh? I’ve never seen this. But I’ve had a severe McDonalds related Mandela effect recently, so I think I came from a different universe with a slightly different McDonalds
A&W has really good seasonal burgers that they retire every season.
Those apple pie slices that came in the card carton thing? So crispy and beautiful.
Burger King Whoppers in the 90s.
They use to taste really, really good. But now 30 years later they’re made with dogshit tier beef and terrible buns and the whole thing just sucks.
The Mexican pizza that had olives on it.
I generally mourn actual Hardee’s. There were several things i miss from their menu pre-Carl’s Jr.
Oh, you don’t mean that Hardee’s changed their name, but that some Hardee’s menu items have been dropped?
I don’t think I’ve been in a Hardees since the 80’s but it wasn’t bad.
Hardee’s was acquired by Carl’s Jr. in the early aughts. The restaurants are still called Hardee’s in the south, and they still serve breakfast biscuits, but their lunch menu is basically Carl’s Jr. now.
I know that they’ve had the same parent company back then. Aslo still called Hardee’s in the upper Midwest. 3 are still operating in Minneapolis.
I was just commenting that on first read, your comment sounded like all Hardee’s were renamed Carl Jr. But it seems like you’re saying some menu items changed.
Yeah basically Hardee’s is now Carl’s Jr. in all but name. It’s like how Checkers and Rally’s are basically the same place.
Hardee’s fried-and-coated-in-cinnamon-and-sugar apple pies.
I finally went to a Carl’s Junior after decades, and goddamn those are big burgers
Mcdonald’s chicken selects! And by extension the snack wraps. Also their very limited basket of fries. I feel like I might be the only person who even remembers it.
Gotta chime in with the bacon cheddar potato wedges and chili cheese curly fries at Jack in the Box. Jack in general has become shit tier now.
Also, McDonalds used to have a super excellent breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, peppers, everything. Back when breakfast all day was a thing.
Not exactly what op is talking about but: fish and chip shops that don’t sell spam butties, like they have chip butties, but not spam butties. Smh
McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Flatbread. I sometimes feel like I’m the only one that remembers them, but they were so delicious around 2003 or 2004, can’t really remember anymore.
