This is Huckabee’s solution to the labor shortage:

Look at these happy children spending way more time playing with the Earth than what that dastardly Tim Walz would have them be doing. Learning? Yuck.

Minecraft has been popular with kids for over a decade. The children yearn for the mines.

Moria…You fear to go into those mines. The dwarves delved too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke in the darkness of Khazad-dum…shadow and flame.

Democrats just want a weak economy and weak career growth for their kids. If child miners were offered tax deferred retirement savings accounts, which they won’t be, and if they could afford to defer which of course they can’t, just think of the potential gains they could have over 3-4 decades until they collapse of pneumoniultramicroscopicsilicovolcanconeosis!?! They of course won’t live in a society that allows retirement so it’s just a mental exercise but man, fun to think about hypothetical gains for child laborers!

The context here is that they are a bunch of the actors in the film Newsies, they are taking a short break before launching into another impromptu musical number.

That would be really nice if it was. Sadly this was in 1911 in Pennsylvania. These are “Breaker Boys”. Their job is to take the the mined rock and separate coal from chunks of rock. source

I met Tim Walz at a party one time and he asked me what I was studying, when I told him he said “you’re gonna do great sport.” BUT MY NAME ISN’T SPORT TIM

Children yearn for the mines as it reminds them of the uterus.

Huckabee is definitely the better person here.

It’s disturbing to me that Harris is openly inviting this kind of misogyny into her cabinet, where women are relegated to the kitchen and men take all the credit. A vote for Trump is a vote for women in the same roles as men, like lawyers, entrepreneurs, hunters, scientists, and leaders.

Love how controversial your comment is - to not read it at face value (and downvote) requires clicking on one of your links, but the modern web is so enshittified that half the voters are doing just that.

personally i came here from browsing all and was not aware of the community’s tongue in cheek nature, which takes some browsing to actually figure out. i assume that’s what’s happening here.

You people don’t get it. There’s an obesity epidemic. Tim Walz is making our kids fat by giving them food and Sarah is giving them exercise by forcing them to work in the mines!

        It goes both ways

if she was paid to make those lunches and then those lunches were given free then it makes your post bullshit.

If she was not paid and she made them then calling him out is fair

However, you just post a picture which does nothing to help substantiate your claim and you expect anyone to take you seriously?

Tim Walz is weird and definitely not representative of the Democrats as a party.

He doesn’t even own a home or securities.

Hell, if Democrats did their job when we gave them power school lunch debt wouldn’t exist.
