I can’t believe no one has commented this yet.

She’s not going to say there’s no list. She’s going to say she has the list and it’s conveniently going to contain all of trump’s enemies … probably including Obama.

Pardoning Maxwell would be an insanely bad idea. The MAGA world love two things more than anything else; conspiracy theories, and imagining themselves in an endless war against a cabal of powerful pedophiles.

Maxwell directly aided and abetted one of those powerful pedophiles. To MAGA, there is no possible justification for pardoning her. It would be tantamount to a full admission from Trump, and it would send their conspiracy addled minds into overdrive. At best (for him), they’d wonder what kind of leverage she has over Trump in order to buy herself a pardon. If not evidence of pedophilia, then surely something else, right?

Is Maxwell angling for a pardon? Almost certainly. But giving her one would be a suicidal move for the administration right now.

Well I mean bottom line is, it’s a damned if he does damned if he doesn’t situation.

She gets killed, that’s insane fuel to the fire.

Trump pardons her… that’s as good as admitting they are working together.

She actually tells what she knows, trumps fucked.

So… if you ask me based on a raw strategy… the DOJ is going to let the sweetheart deal appeal happen, and maxwell will comit perjury, say she happened to be in some of the places trump was, but never were that close and that trump always considered epstein a creep and kicked them out of marlago.

Even better for MAGA, they can have her lie and name a bunch of their favorite punching bags. Suddenly, the cabal will have been led by Obama, Biden, Sanders, AOC, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, etc. It will fuel their rage.

Lots of everyday people won’t believe it, of course. But that’s the brilliance. Their MO is to attack the concept of objective truth. Throw enough bullshit accusations of participation in Epsteins’s crimes out there, and the real perps will be shielded by the collective doubt surrounding any accusations of child rape.

Absolutely… in a world where the justice system is impartial and a consistent adherence to the law is judged rather than who appointed the judge.

That being said, I would say it’s more practical to make unprovable claims, not provably false claims.

the cabal will have been led by Obama, Biden, Sanders, AOC, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, etc.

Fun fact: there’s a theory that the word “cabal” was originally an acronym formed from the last names of Sir Thomas Clifford, Lord Arlington, the Duke of Buckingham, Lord Ashley and Lord Lauderdale, a group of ministers for King Charles II of England (it may just be that the word became popular because of this acronymic coincidence). So in your example, it would be an obsasp.

It’s not purely last names, though. The Duke of Buckingham’s last name was Villiers but he was commonly called “Buckingham”. AOC most commonly goes by “AOC” so the “a” works.

He doesn’t have to go as far as pardoning her. It can be a plea deal type of thing. That will require some level of cooperation from the courts, which is probably what they are negotiating right now. She has no leverage to make threats (“pardon me or I’ll expose you”) because her life is already forfeit, as Epstein’s death shows. So she’ll go along with even a weak deal like a long prison stance but under more comfortable conditions, with perhaps some assurances she won’t suddenly commit suicide.

My MiL is deep MAGA. The only thing true is that whatever the outcome, she will regurgitate the Trump talking points. They could tell her Maxwell was a secret agent for Trump in the 90s, and she would buy it.

I don’t know if you’re close to anyone MAGA, but it is truly a blind cult. The Right just needs to find a palpable enough angle to spin.

I think more dangerous for this regime is other people know what’s on the list. She’s not the only one.

Suicidal how? It’s not like the modern republican party, at least those in congress, is likely to impeach their own president, and seeing as he’s term limited, if Trump got another term, he would have had to throw out the constitution completely and unambiguously to do it, at which point he could simply throw out the “election” part too.

It wasn’t a problem when he pardoned hundreds of violent traitors and insurrectionists.

It wasn’t a problem when he himself was found guilty of SA and convicted of multiple felonies.

It wasn’t a problem when he admitted he would like to bang his daughter.

It wasn’t a problem when he said he could murder someone in broad daylight and not face any consequences.

The Republican Party doesn’t want to impeach him. Some of Democrat Party do, but their efforts get squashed by the Republicans and the other half of their own party.

He can’t be held personally accountable for abusing his power in this case either, thanks to SCrOTUS basically saying that official presidency acts are above the law.

Apparently pardons don’t need to made public and they could offer a pardon that takes effect on a future date. She’s in a federal prison so they put her in some really nice conditions in club fed until that date.

I understand the cynicism, but, I actually think that GM knows what happened to Epstein. From reading interviews and her online presence, you can tell quickly that she is a very timid and fearful person in the face of all of this, but she also seems to display the usual sense of self-preservation that most of us have too.

I think she knows that she is at risk of being ‘suicided’ by speaking to the US government. I don’t think Trump would get her to agree to say nothing happened and let her free, because if she is free and fucks off to Belize, she could still ruin his fucking life from 3,000 miles away.

Personally, I think that the situation we are looking at is that she knows that if she doesn’t pipe up and drop more dirt, she WILL be silenced before that can happen. I don’t think it’s beyond the realm of possibilities that GM has a dead-man’s switch operating somewhere; for Christ’s sake, she was the chief of staff of the world’s largest and most elaborate sex trafficking and extortion ring.

Why would it be beyond the pale for her to have shipped a box of Epstein’s hard drives from his Florida properties? They could easily have been shipped to some douche in another country who benefits from a trust for as long as they sit on that information, with instructions to release the documents online if GM is reported as dead.
