I just had to put my dog down two days ago, this one hurts.

Here’s the Reddit rumor mill, but it’s consistently with what I’ve also heard.
It basically boils down to his home life falling apart, him doing pornography (VGLewds) to make ends meet, the toxic stew of internet culture wearing away at his ego, and him giving up on any project almost entirely for the last four years.
Hardly the only webcomics artist to have a tragic spiral. The Sinfest guy also really went hard off the deep end and has taken to churning out some of the most nakedly fascist comics I’ve read to date.
I never heard any of that. His comic wasn’t super consistent but he didn’t charge me to read it so what do I care?
His site is still up for what it’s worth, I just checked.

Imagine being an agricultural scientist, known as the pre-eminent agricultural engineer of the entire country, and being best remembered for how much your dog loved you! Be that good to your pets everybody, you are everything to them.
This dog is the reason Helen Keller brought the first Akita to the US, and now I’m not happy anymore. I don’t know a single Akita owned by somebody that is responsible enough for the breed and the dogs are all shitheads because of it. It’s what we pin on pitbulls and their owners, except in my (somewhat extensive, worked at a kennel 2 years, own a dog and interact with a handful of local akitas) experience, it’s pretty much breed universal. These are the epitome of working dogs and do not seem to handle a chill lifestyle well at all.

Honestly, same. I lost my own in 2019 and I’m still not ready. I know I’ll get another but the time will have to be right.
That’s how we ended up getting a second dog when our turned 10.
She’s 12 now and the other puppy is 2 and a total insane whirlwind of fur. So not we have to vacuum 2-3 times a week of we don’t want hair everywhere, and even then it’s everywhere anyways.
A story so sad even the futurama writers couldn’t take it.
Saddest episode of tv I’ve ever witnessed.
I loved the episode but I actually preferred the one about Fry’s brother more touching and sadder. I think it’s because I’ve never had a dog but my brother and I are really close.
This episode is brutal (and a true work of art), but for me Game of Tones takes the crown.
I was hoping someone else would also immediately think of Fry’s dog.
One of the few things that always make me cry. I can’t even think of the dogs love, the music, the entire thing without choking up or crying.

The Wii Fit game (I forget the actual name) let you enter your pets and track their weight. Then they’d sometimes show up and run beside you while you were running or cycling around the island. It was a great touch.
I can’t fire it up to look. Our tabby that passed away in 2020 is probably still on there, as is our gray and white cat, who is not doing well - we’re at the “keeping him comfortable” stage. (He’s okay for now, he’s still a happy cat, but he probably only has a few months left.)

I had the game spoiled for me, so I just played the pacifist route. Every replay, pacifist. I thought about doing a neutral or a bad route, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
Last time I opened the game, it was maybe my fourth or fifth time getting the good ending. I just left it there. Let them keep the world they deserved to have.

Dude you’ve engaged with the main theme of the game. Doing a genocide route is literally about how your devalue your connection to the game and become something akin to a psychopath because of the desire to extract as much content out of it as possible. Nothing to be ashamed of by not doing that.
I tried doing an evil run on BG3 after the first, good guy, run and when I broke Alfira’s lute being the huge asshole evil guy I just couldn’t continue. That was too fucked up.
On my Redeemed Durge run, I made my Guardian look like Alfira. It hurt a lot more than I expected.
I did normal first, then pacifist. I did 10% of genocide but it physically hurt me to do that and I just couldn’t; so I watched a YouTube playthrough instead.

I didn’t have the game spoiled but I didn’t and haven’t disturbed my Undertale save after the pacifist ending. I fully understand. Lol
