Listen it’s your fault that they’re doing this since you didn’t stop eating enough meat or recycle enough.

Nobody to blame here but you. Do better next time.

Well he is going to die anyway, we might as well kill him now.

See the problem with that line of thinking?

“But what can I, an out of touch billionaire, do to solve the climate crisis?”

This is one of the most flagrantly out of touch self-fulfilling prophecies for rich asshats like him. “We’re not going to hit the climate goals anyway, because billionaires like me don’t have the courage to ensure we hit the climate goals.”

Ask most climate scientists what would allow us to reach our goals, and their answers usually start with money. This guy has a lot of money. Google has, like, all the money. Instead, these corporations invest in power-hungry products that nobody asked for, and spend millions lobbying governments to deregulate everything, all in the name of profits. They don’t give a shit about our planet.

Schmidt is such a fucking ghoul, feels like he’s ramping up to run for US president with takes as heartless and disconnected as this.

Maybe we just need to shut down Google and any other company saying such arrogant statements _in order _to hit the client goals

It’s a bit daft to ignore how fundamentally disproportionate AI’s current contribution is relative to its energy cost and global impact.

Especially the irony that they’re ruining the environment in an attempt to replace human jobs with AI.

It’s a double “fuck you” to the working/middle class.

Being right and good is far, far, FAR better than the simple act of not being a hypocrite…

I’d MUCH rather someone be a “hypocrite” by deciding to do good things later, than by being a hypocrite for wanting to do bad things…

If you disagree, your morals are beyond fucked up.

                Strawman.

I’d rather do something with impact anytime than find a convenient scapegoat now. If you disagree, your morals are beyond fucked up.

Nope, you’ve already explained how you are too stupid. Do better. Stop being a heartless moron. Being a hypocrite for a good reason is good. The fact you disagree is beyond pathetic. Sad.
