Given that it’s banned, if they get caught, it’d be punishable.

You can usually spot AI writing. It’s wordy, fluffy bullshit.

Kids are smarter than this. They’ll do things like prompting the AI to write at a certain grade level or prompt it to pretend they’re a student whose first language isn’t English. Hell they can even upload an essay you actually did write and ask it to write a new essay that matches the writing style of the old one.

At a certain point in school I realized that cheating was more work than just studying, and what you’re describing is a perfect example.

I invented my own runic script and would write all the German I was supposed to be learning on the covers of my notebooks, hidden in drawings of monoliths or spaceships or whatever. I would have these notebooks on the floor during tests and I would get perfect scores. Now I don’t speak a fucking word of German except for what little I remember from Nightcrawler in the X-men comic books. Unglaublich!

At that point, why even take a German class?

Yeah for real, you’re never gonna hit on babes in another language if you cheat in your language class. It’s like people only care about the grade, and don’t understand the greater and more noble purpose of education (impressing potential dates).

Well, the teacher did have a lot of great stories about growing up in one of Tito’s concentration camps. And we got to watch Das Boot.

Exactly, that sounds like so much more work than just sprechen some Deutsch.

Just like robbing a bank is (supposedly) much easier than it is to get away with it.

That would turn out to be inconsistent with their writing style (even if it may be consistent with the average for that level). The personal style should become apparent from live testing.
